$400.00

*PD must take place in Polk, Hillsborough, Osceola, Orange, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, Hardee, Highlands, Pasco, Hernando, or Sumter Counties in Florida

This personalized three-hour one-on-one professional development session is designed for teachers and homeschool parents who want a clear, effective approach to improving student handwriting.

During this session, participants will learn the A Hand Up Writing Framework™ technique, a structured method that uses gridded paper and simple, consistent “rules” to support letter formation, spacing, and overall writing organization. This approach can be used with both manuscript and cursive and integrates easily into existing instruction.

The session is hands-on and practical. Participants will:

  • Learn how to teach proper letter formation, spacing, and sentence structure

  • Understand how to support fine motor development, pencil grip, and posture

  • Experience the framework as a learner before applying it as an instructor

  • Explore strategies to support diverse learners, including general education, special education, and intervention settings

  • Leave with clear, actionable steps for immediate classroom or home implementation
